Luke Alsford

Hi! My name is Luke Alsford and I am a History and German student at Durham University. I am an aspiring  journalist, particularly focused on a career in reporting, as well as in political journalism.

I am currently News Editor at Palatinate, Durham University's Official Student Newspaper, having previously been Investigations Editor, and I am loving my work focusing on reporting on issues and news that reflect the lives and challenges of students and the local community. 
I was previously the Founding Editor of The Bubble's (Durham's student magazine) Interview Section, which I started in September 2022.

I have spent a semester working at Tübingen University's radio station "Radio Micro-Europa", while on my year abroad, and have helped organise and host the station's weekly show.

I also served a year as President of the social mobility society The 93% Club Durham
